Taking Care of Silk Ties

An alternative is hanging ties in the bathroom during a hot shower. If ironing is unavoidable, place a towel beneath the silk tie and cover it with a slightly damp towel and iron at the lowest temperature. Let the towels dry before lifting them from the tie.
7. Tie clips leave holes and disfigure the tie. You can try inserting the tie tack on the back of your tie through the label to keep it in place.
